Sonoma County
Sonoma County California is truly one of the most beautiful places on earth. Blessed with a gentle climate, a variety of terrains and great natural beauty, it is an extremely desirable place to live. Thirty-five miles North of San Francisco, it is 1,604 square miles of vineyards, farms, mountains, valleys, rugged coastline, lazy rivers and charming towns. Those of us who live here feel very fortunate. If you don't yet, I'd like to help you make the move.
Housing choices range from Mediterranean Villas with acres of vineyards - to ranches - to country houses on acreage - to in-town traditional homes - to simple Russian River cabins, something for everyone. Prices range from affordable to the millions. We have a number of towns, each with it's own special flavor. Check them out at Sonoma County Towns.
The weather here is world-renowned for it's microclimates and ability to produce great grapes for wine. The western border of Sonoma County is comprised of the Pacific Ocean coastline, which brings a welcome coolness during summer nights and some early morning fog in many areas. The inner valley areas of Sonoma County are usually warmer than the areas along the coast. Winters rarely freeze and summer only gets hot for a few days at a time.

"I firmly believe from all that I have seen that this is the chosen spot of all the Earth as far as nature is concerned. The climate is perfect . . . the air is so sweet that it is a pleasure to drink it in . . . the sunshine is pure and soft; the mountains which gird the valley are lovely." Luther Burbank, 1875
